Brief info
I am a dedicated and passionate childcare professional with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) from Monash University. With over two and a half years of experience working with children from newborns to 16-year-olds as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist in Gold Coast, Australia, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to babysitting roles.
My advanced training includes specialised certifications in Feeding Therapy (SOS Approach to Feeding) and Play Therapy (DIR Floortime), equipping me with unique skills to support children's development and well-being. In my previous roles, I have been responsible for creating and implementing individualised care plans that cater to the specific needs of each child, ensuring their safety, growth, and happiness.
I thoroughly enjoy engaging children in sensory play, outdoor activities, and sports. These activities not only promote physical development but also encourage social skills, creativity, and emotional well-being. Whether it's through structured games or imaginative play, I strive to create a fun and supportive environment where children can thrive.
What I find most rewarding about working with children is witnessing their growth and progress. Each milestone achieved, no matter how small, brings a sense of fulfilment and reinforces my commitment to childcare. My ultimate goal is to empower children to reach their full potential, fostering independence and confidence.
Additionally, I have completed First Aid and CPR training, ensuring that I am well-prepared to handle any emergencies that may arise. My background and experiences reflect a deep commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care. I look forward to bringing my expertise and enthusiasm to a babysitting role, where I can contribute to the well-being and happiness of the children I care for.
“Ashlee has always had a fantastic ability to connect with the kids, reflecting her natural warmth, patience and genuine care for their wellbeing. She was able to foster an environment where the children felt safe, supported and encouraged to explore and learn, and consistently went above and beyond to meet the needs of those under her care"
“All of the families she worked with in Australia loved working with her and they were absolutely devastated when she was moving.”
