Beatrix

Brief info

I am Bee, a highly experienced and enthusiastic nanny and prep-school teacher. I have spent the last five years specialising in Early Years in the UK, and am now combining this wealth of childcare experience with my passion for skiing and the outdoors in France (where my family live).
Having achieved my PCGE from UCL (in addition to my BSc in Psychology), I have extensive knowledge of early childhood development—which I translate into play, sports and interaction with the natural world. My aim is always to cultivate a calm, purposeful environment with lots of fun and games: I love arts and crafts, sports, messy play, sensory play, forest school and all kinds of creative child-led activities. Whether it’s baking biscuits, singing and playing instruments, or just getting outside in the fresh air for some impromptu games in the snow, I put the joy and freedom of childhood at the centre of everything I do. Of course, as a qualified teacher, I am always aware of the educational possibilities inherent in the every day. Even over the course of a single holiday, there are always ways to learn and grow.
I am an excellent communicator with co-workers, children and parents/carers alike. I am dedicated to child well-being and safety and am fully DBS checked, Paediatric First Aid Trained (including CPR), with professional training also in Psychological First Aid, Deaf Awareness and Autism Awareness.

“What truly sets Beatrix apart is her fun and engaging manner with children. She brings an infectious energy to her work that makes learning and playtime enjoyable for everyone involved. Her creativity and sense of humour allow her to craft activities that not only captivate the children’s imaginations but also create a joyful and lively atmosphere. The children she works with are always excited to spend time with her, and her positive influence is evident in their smiles and laughter.”
