Lizi is an experienced and fun-loving nanny who hopes to reignite a passion for the environment around us by helping children discover everything our wonderful natural world has to offer.
From taking very small children sledging and on magical treasure hunts, to those all-important hot chocolate stops, Lizi has spent two winter seasons in the mountains and loves watching the little ones experience the snow. She has also worked with older children in the UAE and Croatia, taking groups of teens kayaking, paddleboarding and sandboarding. Her outdoor education and Geography degree background feed into this love of getting children out and about, but she loves an indoor arts and crafts session as much as the next person, especially when temperatures really drop.
Lizi was used to regularly babysitting large groups of children in chalets during the past two winter seasons, often being greeted by some very excited children who couldn’t wait for their babysitter to arrive! “Children often seem to just “take” to Lizi – we think it might be the big, welcoming smile!” She loves how children are naturally enthusiastic and just thinks we all need a little bit more of this happiness in our lives.
Lizi has experience with 0-16 year olds; from very young babies in creches to “I’m too cool to listen teens” doing their GCSE studies on a beach in the UAE. She has also spent time volunteering in her local primary school with the most demanding class, so has experience with special needs as well.
Lizi loves being in the mountains and can both ski and snowboard well. She worked in ski school supporting children of all abilities in her first season so she’s very confident at taking little ones out skiing, if you ever want them to go for a few runs while you’re busy. Lizi fell in love with Chamonix last summer and can’t wait to experience it with your little ones this winter.
