Maria Pia

Brief info

I am 30 years old passionate about working in natural environments, particularly in mountainous regions. In addition to my academic background in Tourism and Hotel Management, I am certified in First Aid and as a Yoga and Meditation Instructor for children and infants. I have worked with ages from five months to older children, have a deep connection with them, and always strive to create meaningful interactions.

While pursuing my degree, I gained experience as a part-time babysitter, caring for a 12-year-old boy for two years and later an 8-year-old girl for one year. At the age of 15, I worked as an assistant in a kindergarten during the summer, which sparked my interest in childcare. When I was 24, I spent five months in Washington, DC, where I cared for a 2-year-old child.

Two years ago, I became a certified children's Yoga Instructor, which allowed me to bring mindfulness practices into my work with children. I make it a priority to make each child feel valued, teaching them to breathe deeply, stay calm, and express their emotions freely. I always ask them about the things they love most and encourage self-expression.

My most recent experience was in Chamonix, France, where I cared for a 5-month-old baby for three months, occasionally looking after his 3-year-old sister. I focus on creating enjoyable and engaging activities such as hikes, museum visits, yoga, meditation, and interactive play. For babies, I love singing, playing relaxing music, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy introducing children to new languages, such as Spanish.

I consider myself proactive, charismatic, and responsible, with a deep love for both children and nature. My childcare responsibilities have included meal preparation, diaper changing, and assisting with homework, ensuring that each child’s needs are met with care and attention.

“Maria Pia was perfect. Very kind with the children, very professional, always on time and flexible too. I 100% recommend her to any family.”
