Olivia
Brief info
I am a dedicated and compassionate professional with specialised training in childcare and over six years of experience nurturing young minds across the UK, Germany, the USA, and the Netherlands.
Since graduating in London, I have worked full-time as a nanny in Berlin, Germany, and currently in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, caring for children from newborns to seven years old. My experience includes caring for infants until they start daycare, and children aged 2, 3, and 7 years, while also working in daycare centers looking after larger groups of toddlers.
Having worked in countries where English is not the primary language, I’ve developed the ability to communicate effectively with children, acquiring basic skills in both German and Dutch. This experience has broadened my ability to connect with children from diverse backgrounds.
In my roles, I’ve managed all aspects of daily childcare, including feeding, diaper changes, nap routines, meal preparation, and educational engagement. I’m passionate about creating stimulating activities tailored to each child's developmental stage, from educational games and arts and crafts to outdoor play and storytelling sessions that inspire their creativity. I also implement structured routines to provide a sense of security and help children develop independence.
As a native English speaker with basic conversational skills in German, I foster an inclusive and supportive environment for the children I care for. I am also First Aid and CPR certified, ensuring I am prepared to handle emergencies with confidence and care.
Working with children is deeply rewarding, as it allows me to play a part in their growth, learning, and happiness. Witnessing them develop new skills, express their creativity, and explore the world is a constant source of joy. My goal is to nurture each child’s individuality while creating a warm, engaging environment that fosters curiosity and fun.
“Olivia is very timely, professional and a reliable nanny. She is always willing to help and asks for any additional tasks she can do. She is very much focused on getting to know the children and making sure they are having a good time while attending to their needs”
