Olivia

Brief info

I am a 25-year-old childcare professional from Australia with a passion for nurturing and supporting children. My journey in childcare began in 2017 as a trainee, and I completed my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education in 2018. Alongside my childcare career, I also became a qualified swim teacher. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working with children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old, as well as babysitting for children up to 13 years old. For the past two years, I have also been involved in disability support, enhancing my experience and understanding of diverse needs.

From a young age, I have always loved children and knew that I wanted to work in this field. In my role, I focus on creating daily routines and engaging children in educational and recreational activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. The most rewarding part of my job is the special bond I build with each child, watching them grow into their unique personalities and celebrating their milestones, knowing that I played a part in their journey.

I consider myself an outgoing, loving, caring, and empathetic person with an abundance of energy. I enjoy planning fun and engaging lessons tailored to each child’s individual learning needs, incorporating activities such as number and colouring games outdoors, sensory setups, arts and crafts, role play, and exploring nature. For the younger children, I focus on sensory experiences, fine and gross motor skills, all while incorporating lots of singing and movement.

Outside of work, I love starting my day with a morning walk and friends, spending time at the beach swimming or surfing, and staying active. Family time is important to me, and I also have a passion for travel, where I discovered my love for snowboarding. I thrive on trying new things and enjoy being outdoors, embracing every opportunity for adventure.

I look forward to bringing my enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication to every child I work with!

“In the years I have known Olivia she has always put the children’s safety at the forefront of any choice she makes. She is always on time for her set shifts, is always happy to lend a helping hand on the days she is not rostered on and has impeccable relationships with families and the community. She applies herself to the job with ease and everyone enjoys working with her. She is resourceful by setting up activities in the workspace and is always flexible in having to start work or finish late and can work with a various amount of age ranges. Olivia has always been helpful in the time I have known her and is always willing to help others, again she has strong ties in the community and with families and I have been told time and time again that she is a very warm and welcoming person to not only children but families and stakeholders. You will not regret working with Olivia, she is a trustworthy and loyal nanny with the natural ability to learn and thinks in a fast pace. She can make relationships with anyone she meets and she will be missed by our community”.

“Olivia worked with us for 6 years and consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a deep commitment to the children in her care. In terms of her reliability, Olivia is extremely dependable. She is an excellent timekeeper, always arriving on time and fully prepared for her day. She is flexible and resourceful, able to adapt quickly to any changes in routine or unexpected circumstances, which is an invaluable trait when working with young children. Olivia is also polite, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the children are comfortable and happy.
In addition to her time at the centre, Olivia has provided care for my own children, aged 4 and 13 years old, on multiple occasions. Whether she was handling the needs of my younger child or interacting with my teenager, Olivia demonstrated the same level of care, competence, and maturity. I always felt confident in her ability to manage any situation that arose. I wholeheartedly recommend Olivia. She is hardworking, professional, and excels at working independently with children of all ages.”
