What Our Nannies Can Do in La Clusaz

La Clusaz has The FAMILLE PLUS label which is given to resorts who make it their priority to put families and children first.

Apart from skiing or boarding, there are plenty of other activities to stay active like the aqua park which features a paddling pool, fountain, indoor and an outside pool facing the slopes! There are also dediated sledging areas, a skating rink, karting on ice, snow bikes, paragliding, dog sledding, guided walks and snowshoeing (raquettes). You can even ski by moonlight whenever there is a Full Moon. Our nannies like to take the toddlers and older children tobogganing at Les Confins and at the Champ Giguet which is at the centre of the village.

There is crazy golf for older kids, a bowling alley, cinema (which shows films in both English and French), a History of skiing Museum and organised village tours. After skiing our nannies can take the children to see cheese-making demonstrations using local Reblochon with a vin chaud, the Chocolaterie Morand in the village (the best chocolate makers in France) and the local delicatessens and patisseries to get a taste of some delicious treats. La Clusaz even holds an Escape Game; an excellent experience to test those mental skills after skiing!

About La Clusaz Ski Resort

La Clusaz is a very French resort (part of the Les Aravis ski area) removed from the hustle and bustle of other resorts in the Alps. Five mountain slopes at La Clusaz offer 130 km of piste that descend from open glades into tree lined pistes. Beginners will revel in the variety, with over 60% of the pistes at La Clusaz dedicated to them. More advanced skiers would be able to explore the off-piste opportunities along the many Cols of the Aravis range. Off the slopes, La Clusaz offers rustic charm in an unspoiled French mountain town. There is a good selection of restaurants which cater for the weekend skiers, from nearby Annecy, and prices reflect this. Not a lot of hot nightlife which makes it a place to relax and enjoy family time. The picturesque lakeside town of Annecy can be accessed with a short bus trip and is a popular day retreat to unwind with a stroll around its scenic medieval area.
