Merinannies

Childcare in Meribel

Merinannies set its roots in Meribel back in 2003 and has become the longest standing childcare service in the area. We know the ins and outs of this family friendly resort, turning it into a playful winter wonderland for children and parents.

What Our Nannies Can Do in Meribel

There are many activities to choose from in Meribel from swimming, to bowling, soft play, inner tubing (whizz down the slopes in an inflatable ring), ice skating, indoor climbing, sledging ( just grab your sledge and head for the nearest snow covered hill), panoramic helicopter flights to sit back and absorb the beauty of the mountains, husky sledging and of course lots of picturesque walks and bubble rides. In particular our Merinannies love to take kids of all ages up on the Rhodos bubble from La Chaudanne to the top.

This brings you out at the beginner ski area of Meribel, but there is a very pretty walking trail through the forest and it is beautiful. There, the nannies play hide and seek, treasure hunt, or simply pick up pinecones and check out the animal tracks.

For under 5’s, there is a free lift pass you can get up and down on the bubble, also from Les Allues you can take it up to Meribel centre. In Meribel centre there are lovely cafes and restaurants to choose from for a bite of lunch or hot chocolate, or you can take the free shuttle bus up to the Rond Point des Pistes. The Rond Point is a great area for children, there is a gentle slope for bumboarding, sledging, or building a snowman. There is also La Rond Pont restaurant. There is also a free magic carpet, so they can get back up the slope easily.

About Meribel Ski Resort

Meribel is the prettiest resort in the Three Valleys, built in the traditional chalet style and being at the centre of the Three Valleys is the ideal place to explore this vast ski area. From the beautiful tree-lined and gentle slopes of Altiport to stunning views from the top of Mont Vallon, at nearly 3000m there is something for everyone. The Meribel Valley itself has a vertical drop of around 1400m and there are two snowparks and varied off-piste in the valley to keep you entertained!

For non-skiers Meribel has a number of other activities. The Olympic Centre boasts swimming, ice-skating and bowling and some hotels provide spa facilities, or you can book a pampering session in the comfort of your own accommodation. There is also a pedestrian lift pass, giving you access to some of the restaurants and viewpoints on Meribel’s peaks.

Meribel is lively when skiing has finished, with apre-ski carrying on into the early hours! The on-the-piste “Le Rond Point” has frequent live bands, as does the Lodge du Village in Meribel Village. There are a number of good bars and restaurants as well as the famous “Dicks Tea Bar” nightclub.
