Alice
Brief info
I am originally from New Zealand and I am 25 years old. After completing my university studies with a degree in Psychology, Criminology and Management, I spent a winter season in the Austrian Alps, and for the next few years I would love to make the most of everything Europe has to offer.
My babysitting and nannying journey began when I was fifteen, and over the past seven years I have had the privilege of supporting families with children from four months to twelve years of age. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and trust when caring for children, as well as how fulfilling it is to help them learn and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment. I feel confident with all baby and child routines and respect the parents advice to follow what is required. A good communicator, with heaps of energy and enthusiasm, willing to go the extra smile making sure everyone is happy.
I am passionate about the outdoors. During the summer, I enjoy hiking in the mountains, swimming in rivers, and spending time with friends exploring local museums or vintage shops. In winter, I am happiest on the snow. I grew up in a keen skiing family and spent much of my school life ski racing. I also hold an NZSIA Level 1 Ski Instructor Certification, which qualifies me to teach first-time skiers and children. I find it incredibly rewarding to see their confidence and enjoyment grow on the slopes.
“I found Alice to be very reliable and kind. She would always show up on time and I was comfortable leaving her in charge of the children and our house. Maybe just as important: the kids liked her and remember her positively. I can recommend her wholeheartedly and think you will benefit greatly from her services.”
“I’m very happy to recommend Alice. She’s looked after my 6-month-old daughter over the last few months since I returned to work. I trust her completely. My daughter loves her and families will be very lucky to have her. Alice is reliable, professional, and hard-working, she’s usually a few minutes early, follows our routines, and I love hearing about their day when she catches me up in the evening. She’s resourceful and flexible when baby life goes off-script, is great at staying calm and figures it out. She’s punctual and helps us keep our naps and feeds on track. We’ve also trusted her with evening routines (bath and bedtime), and she’s handled everything independently with good judgement. I would be completely comfortable with Alice working without supervision in your resort with babies and older children.”
“Alice was a wonderful nanny to our three boys and an absolute joy to have as part of our family. She comes from a lovely family and we were lucky to have her on tap. Alice is incredibly reliable, she was always on time and someone we could completely depend on. She approached every day with a positive, professional attitude and a genuine love for our children. She built a beautiful bond with our boys — keeping them engaged, active, and happy — while also maintaining calm and control in any situation. My boys can be a handful but she was great at diffusing situations. She is resourceful and flexible, easily adapting to changing routines or needs and was always happy to help wherever and when she could. Alice is also polite, thoughtful and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to child development and managing different age groups. Her initiative and attention to detail made life so much easier for our family — she often anticipated what needed to be done before being asked. Someone that can use initiative is what I need for my family. In short, I would highly recommend Alice as a nanny. She has excellent judgment, a kind nature and a natural way with children that puts both kids and parents at ease.”
