Amelia

Brief info

My name is Milly. I am 33 years old, a Registered Nurse with over ten years of experience caring for children and their families during some of their most vulnerable moments. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate, and Advanced Life Support qualifications in both adult and paediatric care.

I bring a calm, confident, and adaptable approach to every situation, supported by extensive knowledge of child safety and wellbeing.

Throughout my nursing career, as well as in babysitting roles and as “Aunty Mil” to my nieces, nephews, and friends’ children, I have cared for little ones from just a few days old through to their teenage years. One of the most rewarding aspects of working with children is encouraging them to achieve things they did not think possible—whether that is sounding out a new word, solving a puzzle, or gaining confidence in a new activity. I love creating a fun and imaginative environment with age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, baking, outdoor exploration, and incorporating learning through play whenever possible.

I have a deep love for the snow and, while I am not an advanced skier, I am enthusiastic, a quick learner, and always delighted to accompany children to their ski lessons or enjoy playful time in the snow to make their winter holiday memorable and magical.

I am fluent in English and conversational in French (levels A2–B1), with basic knowledge of Italian and Spanish. I hold both Australian and International driving licences, am a strong swimmer (former Bronze Medallion holder), and a non-smoker. Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, snowboarding, hiking, boating, fitness, do-it-yourself projects, and baking—activities I love sharing with children to inspire creativity and joy.

“I have known Amelia for a number of years now and I could not speak of her more highly! We first worked together in nursing where I saw her excellent time management first hand. She was attentive and knowledgeable, and she worked very hard to provide an exceptional level of care to her patients. She cared for a huge variety of patients, young and old, and was always willing to teach and help others, and work as part of a team. I also know Amelia on a personal level, and she has cared for my own children (5 years old and 2 years old) on multiple occasions. They adore spending time with her and I trust her whole heartedly to provide them the love and care they need."

“Amelia is an exceptionally hard-working and dedicated professional who consistently demonstrates a polite, respectful, and task-oriented approach. She regularly goes above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing of her patients and provides the highest standard of care in every situation. She has worked in remote locations where resources were often limited, yet her professionalism and quality of care have never wavered. Amelia is flexible, reliable, and frequently volunteered to take on additional shifts and responsibilities. She is highly organised, an excellent timekeeper, and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail. As a skilled nurse and remote area medic, Amelia has cared for both children and adults with confidence and compassion. She consistently receives excellent feedback for her positive attitude, helpfulness, and kindness towards both patients and colleagues. Amelia is adaptable, a quick learner, and brings a positive, uplifting energy to every environment she works in. I would have no hesitation in recommending her for any position—she would be an asset to any team.”
