Angela

Brief info

My name is Angela, a 31 year old Chilean nanny with a professional career and passion in Education through nature work.

Over the past few years, I have worked as a nanny, caring for children across different ages from toddlers to older ones. My responsibilities included creating playful educational and physical activities, encouraging imagination, and ensuring children’s well-being in their daily routines, including mealtimes and outings.

My life is deeply connected to outdoor sports, especially climbing and mountaineering. This passion led me to live in southern Chile, where I worked as an assistant guide in adventure tourism. To perform this role, I obtained the Wilderness First Responder certification, which includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid training for both adults and infants. In that context, I also worked with minors, ensuring their safety and promoting a respectful connection with the natural environment.

Additionally, I collaborated with a coaching company in Cajón del Maipo, a rural area near Santiago, facilitating educational and therapeutic outdoor activities. The participants ranged from school and university groups, to corporate teams and institutions supporting children who had experienced trauma. The company’s philosophy, centred on “human nature,” focused on tailored outdoor experiences such as zip-lining, rope bridges, and climbing walls—designed to promote teamwork, communication, collaboration, and emotional connection. As a coach, I led these activities and guided the reflection sessions that followed. This experience showed me the powerful emotional and social impact that nature, sport, and play can have, especially on children.

Last year, I completed a climbing instructor training programme in Chile. Now that I am living in France, I am motivated to continue this training, with the goal of applying it specifically to work with young children. Beyond the sport itself, I see climbing as a tool for personal growth.

Over the years, I have discovered a deep passion for Education and feel inspired to accompany children in their journeys of discovery—fostering empathy, autonomy, and helping them grow into connected, conscious, and joyful human beings.

For all these reasons, my approach focuses on designing outdoor experiences that help children connect with their own emotions, build awareness, and develop empathy towards nature and the world around them.

“I have had the privilege of knowing Angela since 2014, when she began caring for my son, Doménico, who was 6 years old at the time. As a single mother, Ángela was a support for our family, allowing me to juggle my work and raising my son. During her time with us, she proved to be a trustworthy, kind, responsible, and caring person, something that my son has fond memories of about her to this day. In addition to the aforementioned qualities, she has great creative potential in regards to both educational and recreational activities. I recommend Angela for any position related to childcare, where any family would be fortunate to have her services.”

“Ángela has cared for my children, Joaquín, 3 years and 9 months old, and Agustina, 1 year and 10 months old, on numerous occasions over the past year and at the beginning of this year, and she has always demonstrated that she is a committed and responsible person. From the first time she cared for my children, I could see her dedication and the natural connection she has with them. My children love being with her and are always excited when they know she is coming. She is very good at organising creative and fun activities for my children, while also keeping their mealtime and bedtime routines in mind. In addition to her warmth and ability to entertain the children, I want to highlight her professionalism and reliability. She has always been punctual, flexible, and very attentive to the instructions I have given her, both regarding the safety and well-being of my children. I have complete confidence in her and know my children are in good hands. There is no doubt that Angela will be a great support to any family who needs her services.”

“I can confirm from first-hand experience that she is fully qualified to care of children, in my case for my two children, ages 3 and 5. The times I have entrusted her with this responsibility, she has been able to handle everything necessary, demonstrating initiative and care, maintaining the children's routine, preparing their meals, and supporting them with whatever they needed, especially when I have asked her to care for them overnight, which has been the majority of the times I have needed Angela's services. I have also relied on her responsibility in cases where I have asked her to take the children for walks near the house (to go to plazas, ice cream shops, or cafes). For all of the above reasons, I highly recommend, and indeed, as a family, my wife and I, we fully recommend Angela to work as a nanny.”
