Jemima
Brief info
My name is Jemima, and I have had the wonderful opportunity to pursue a career in Early Childhood and Preschool Education since 2018 in Sydney, Australia.
Alongside my teaching experience, I have also worked as a nanny for several families, providing high-quality care and ensuring that every family feels supported, respected, and confident in the care of their children.
I am an enthusiastic, active, and dedicated childcare professional who strives to create supportive, enjoyable, and safe experiences for children. I believe that children are capable learners and natural creators who are curious at every stage of their development. As caregivers, it is our responsibility to provide them with a secure and nurturing environment where they feel confident to explore and grow.
I treat every child with respect, and value open, honest communication with families to ensure their individual needs are met.
I hold an Australian Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and am currently studying online towards a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and Primary. I also hold valid First Aid and CPR certifications, including a specialised First Aid qualification for infants and young children.
My experience includes over one year in a classroom setting with children aged 14 months to two and a half years, and several years working with children aged three to five. I have also worked in nursery environments and am confident in supporting babies’ routines, including nappy changes, bottle feeding, sleep schedules, and meal preparation. Additionally, I have cared for children aged six to fourteen through holiday workshops and babysitting.
I am passionate about designing engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that follow children’s interests and support their learning. I enjoy spending time outdoors, creating obstacle courses and treasure hunts, and playing games that encourage movement and teamwork. I also love leading creative indoor activities such as crafts, reading, singing, dancing, and imaginative play.
I take pride in being professional, reliable, and approachable, and I am committed to providing the highest standard of care for every child and family I work with.
“Jemima was an asset to our team and could confidently work throughout all age groups from Nursery to Preschool. She held strong relationship bonds with the children, communicated with families during drop offs and pick-ups and was an all-round team player. She upholds professionality in her presentation and communication while also embodying a friendly and approachable attitude. Her professional skills maintained a high level of care for all children. She was enthusiastic to set up creative play experiences in the learning environment. Furthermore, she demonstrated respect for all children and could efficiently manage their routines, needs and family requests. I would recommend Jemima as a teacher and employee for any company or family looking for a reliable and skilled educator nanny to care for their children.”
“Jemima is kind, caring and nurturing. She formed strong relationships with the children and families in her care. I know Jemima to be an honest, responsible, respectful and courteous personality. Jemima will be an asset to any family or organisation.”
