My name is Jenni, I am 29-years-old from Northern Ireland with ten years of childcare experience. In roles as a childminder, babysitter and youth leader, I have cared for children from baby age to 14 year olds. I enjoy interacting with children to create a positive, fun and safe environment through sport and crafts.

My love for childcare began at 15 when I started babysitting my neighbours children age 5. This grew into a paid childminder role and continued until they were 14. My role involved housekeeping, helping with homework, organising fun and educational activities, and involving the children with cooking and baking. Now, as young adults at university, it has been extremely rewarding to watch them grow and develop, learning new skills and setting their own goals. This year, I have also held the same role for two amazing children age 1 and 4 years.

Throughout school I was also a youth leader for my local scout group. I was jointly in charge of a group of 30 children aged 5-8, organising sporting and creative activities to further encourage learning and development outside the classroom.

In 2022, I chose to take a career break to fulfil lifelong goals of a ski season in France and travelling to New Zealand, Southeast Asia and parts of Europe. I am passionate about experiencing different cultures and cuisines, exploring landscapes and architecture, and meeting local and like-minded people.
I have strong organisation and communication skills enabling me to manage routines and build trusting relationships with both children and parents. I hold a Red Cross First Aid Certificate and full clean Driving Licence.
