I am a 24 year old, warm and energetic nanny from Australia with experience caring for children from 0 through to 12 including regular nannying and ongoing casual care. My experience includes caring for children independently, organising play and outings, supporting mealtimes, bath and bedtime routines, and assisting with light domestic duties.
I also have professional experience as a Family Practitioner, providing in-home support to families with complex needs. This was quite a difficult job given the complexities of the families, but it helped me to develop important skills in building relationships with parents and children, focusing on supporting child wellbeing and responding calmly to different and difficult family dynamics.
I am amiable, reliable, energetic and enjoy spending playful time with children. I am comfortable working independently and love creating fun and activity-filled days for children. I most enjoy outdoor time, seeing children’s imagination light up through games and creative play, as well as creating a solid sense of routine. I love to see children learn, grow in their skills and confidence as well as feeling settled in themselves and routines.
I hold a degree in Psychology, which has given me a practical foundation in child development and needs, building rapport quickly with children among and the importance of consistent environments. I have also attained a current Working with Children Check, Police Check and First Aid Certificate.
I am very lucky to have worked with some beautiful families in my nannying time, and I’m extremely excited to be working with new families this winter season in Austria.

"Our family was beyond blessed to have welcomed Sophie into our home as a nanny. Soph began work with us when our first born was almost 1 year old. She showed a high standard of competence, ensuring our daughter was learning through play while always remaining safe. I can happily and confidently say that Soph’s skills with a toddler come easily to her. Meal times, nappy changes, tantrums, indoor and outdoor play, and transportation (car, pram, baby carrier) are of a high standard and are done so with the child’s best interests at heart. She is quick to react to any abnormalities/events, including gagging/choking during meal times and similarly during outdoor play has prevented many accidents for our daughter (climbing/trampoline).
She is a delight to have in our home, always turning up on time and has great communication. She is always willing to be flexible if something pops up on our end, and in recent months as we welcomed our second child, Soph has stepped up to more responsibility including the care of a newborn. As with bringing home a new baby, our toddler has had many big emotions which Sophie has managed calmly and confidently, modeling how to regulate emotions and practicing removing our daughter from the situation to encourage her to calm down with simple strategies. Sophie’s care of our newborn has come with ease, and always has a gentle approach. She confidently recognised both hunger and sleep cues and uses several methods to settle our baby, as well as putting them to sleep - including pram, baby wearing carrier, rocking and transfer to a bassinet. Soph gives expressed breastmilk in a bottle when due and has always demonstrated common sense if she feels anything is off/different from usual and communicates this immediately.
The children Sophie will look after will have a lot of fun while always being safe, and the parents can rest assured they are in great hands".
