Thea
Brief info
My name is Thea, a qualified Nurse, and I am very excited to spend the season skiing and experiencing the beauty of the French Alps while working with children.
Alongside my nursing studies, I have gained extensive experience working in the children’s emergency department at one of the world’s leading hospitals. In addition to my medical background, I also have a variety of valuable experiences in childcare.
During secondary school, I completed an internship at a primary school, working with children aged seven to twelve years. After graduating, I worked as a classroom assistant for a boy in fourth grade who required additional support with concentration and behaviour management. I have also worked as a cross-country skiing instructor for a group of approximately fifteen children aged seven to fourteen during one winter season. Additionally, I have helped care for my younger brother and cousins from a very young age, which strengthened my natural ability to connect with children.
I truly enjoy working with and spending time with children of all ages. They bring immense joy, curiosity, and energy, and although caring for them can sometimes present challenges, I see these moments as opportunities to teach, learn, and connect. Through my nursing experience, I have developed a calm and reassuring approach, helping children feel safe and understood while encouraging cooperation and confidence, even in difficult situations.
"Thea has worked with us as a nurse at the Pediatric Emergency Unit since the summer of 2023. We care for children aged 0 - 18 years with mainly medical conditions. Thea has also had a rotational service to the Pediatric Emergency Unit, Karolinska University Hospital in Solna in 2025. Where children aged 0 - 18 years are cared for and there are also children who seek care with surgical and orthopedic conditions. Thea is a valued employee who works well in our work group with both managers, doctors, nurses and assistant nurses, she has a nice and professional attitude towards our children and their guardians. She has worked with us days, evenings, nights and weekends. As a nurse in a paediatric emergency room, you must be both resourceful and flexible, which is Thea. Thea is also involved in our patient safety group, which we appreciate."
